The participants of Simone Hübscher’s workshop have completed two days of intensive neurography training. The course covered all important electroneurographic examinations and included many practical training phases on our easy-to-use esumedics EMG systems.
Neurography in Focus
On February 14th and 15th, 2025, our training partner Simone Hübscher once again held an ENG intensive workshop in her Berlin practice. The popular courses are aimed at medical assistants and doctors and attract participants from all over Germany. Learning by doing and a high practical component characterize these training courses.
As always in Berlin, the participants were able to complete various exercises on our esumedics EMG system independently in small groups. Thanks to the clear software interface and excellent signal quality, esumedics EMG devices support the participants perfectly to achieve reliable and quick meaningful examination results.
From Nerve Measurements to Typical Clinical Pictures
After a warm welcome and a short theoretical excursion, the participants were able to start working with the esumedics EMG systems in the morning of the first day. Under the expert guidance of Simone Hübscher, various measurements of the arm nerves (e.g. median nerve, ulnar nerve, radial nerve) were practiced before the groups turned their attention to the leg nerves (tibial, peroneal, sural and many more) in the afternoon.
Saturday focused on the neurographic measurement of typical clinical pictures in routine. These included, for example, CTS (carpal tunnel syndrome), SUS (sulcus ulnaris syndrom ), radial palsy or tarsal tunnel syndrome. The blink reflex, facial neurography and serial stimulation were also on the program. In the afternoon of the second day, artifact removal, solving everyday problems and an open question round concluded the extensive training program. The esumedics EMG systems shone throughout the course with high functionality and clarity, so that the participants could concentrate completely on carrying out the various measurements.
Service, Support and Solutions for Customers with Old Devices
Esumedics GmbH also provided personnel assistance for Mrs. Hübscher’s course. Our sales manager D-A-CH, Mr. Jörg Lehmann, was on site to support the training. Mr. Lehmann answered all questions about the device in detail, gave valuable tips and tricks for practical work and explained the services offered by Esumedics GmbH. Many participants were particularly interested in the compatibility of esumedics with old devices, e.g. from Neurowerk, Walter EEG or Telemedi. esumedics offers the option of continuing to operate these with a software conversion under Windows 11 Pro. This means that existing, still intact hardware can continue to be used for the time being with low investment costs.
