A large regional hospital with 4 locations in the Erzgebirge was equipped with two new EEG systems and a new server at Annaberg in 2024. An existing, outdated EEG device from another provider was replaced as part of the new investment. Thanks to the compatibility of the esumedics software with third-party products (e.g. Neurowerk, Walter-EEG, Telemedi, … ), the existing data sets can still be read.
Annaberg Hospital is Convinced by Esumedics GmbH’s Service Package
As early as July 2024, the Erzgebirgsklinikum Annaberg commissioned Esumedics GmbH to re-equip the pediatric and adolescent medicine clinic. After a comprehensive product demonstration and subsequent equipment rental, the hospital was convinced by the ease of use and high functionality of the esumedics EEG systems.
The clinic was previously equipped with an EEG device from the Neurowerk brand, which was already showing its age and could no longer be used under the WINDOWS11. With the modern esumedics software, Esumedics GmbH offers a real alternative for customers with devices from other manufacturers, e.g. Telemedi, Walter-EEG or Neurowerk. The great advantage of esumedics is the compatibility of the systems with third-party hardware and databases, which still allows access to existing patient information and examination protocols.
In addition to the comprehensive services provided by Esumedics GmbH, the customer-oriented approach of our company was particularly convincing for the clinic association from the Erzgebirge region. In addition to a server move with a new SQL database, a new esumedics routine EEG with metal cart and an EEG system with a laptop for mobile long-term monitoring of young epilepsy patients were ordered.
In 2024, two new EEG workstations and a new server were set up by Esumedics in our clinic for children and adolescent medicine. From the planning phase to the execution of the individual steps, in particular the transfer of the old database to the new server structure, everything was carried out to our complete satisfaction. When setting up the new software individually, Esumedics GmbH always supported us in a solution-oriented and best possible way. The hotline and remote support from Esumedics, which was always immediately available and was able to solve our concerns very quickly and promptly, are to be highly praised.

Efficient diagnostics from routine to long-term EEG
For the individual product configuration, the clinic in Annaberg relied on two mobile, user-friendly solutions. The routine EEG on our agile metal cart is easy to maneuver and is ideally equipped for daily examination procedures in the pediatric and adolescent clinic with a 36-channel EEG headbox, video extension and photostimulator. A full HD video system with a camera wall mount, infrared spotlight and microphone was also installed.
The long-term EEG also consists of a 36-channel EEG headbox and an EEG cap adapter for direct connection of complete caps (e.g. COMBY-Cap). A full HD video system with infrared and microphone for permanent wall mounting was also included. A laptop is available for mobile signal monitoring in the patient’s room, with which the clinic staff can monitor and control the long-term EEG system remotely. This allows the young patients to act comfortably, independently and undisturbed in their room, even during long-term recordings.
24-Month Warranty and Free On-Site Support
Esumedics GmbH is characterized by an enormous service philosophy and the very good accessibility of our employees. With the purchase of the devices, the hospital also receives a 24-month warranty on esumedics systems, reliable telephone support and the option of remote maintenance as well as 12 months of free on-site service from our technicians. Customer-specific settings and software configurations are also easily possible in order to adapt the software perfectly to the proven routines and preferred working methods of the clinic staff. In addition, the esumedics EEGs offer a clear user interface, which makes it easier for the clinic staff to work quickly and in a results-oriented manner with the esumedics systems.
