This year’s 58th Annual Conference of the German FNTA at Düsseldorf University Hospital offered association members the opportunity to participate in a diverse continuing education program. Our esumedics EEG and EMG systems supported three practical courses on site, impressing attendees with their excellent signal quality and meaningful examination results.
Interactive Workshops and Professional Exchange Take Center Stage
From March 6th to 8th, the German FNTA Conference brought members from across Germany to Düsseldorf to participate in the annual meeting to benefit from the informative program of specialist presentations and training sessions. Esumedics GmbH was present with several devices and a small booth. Many interested visitors used the breaks to learn about our range of accessories, our services, and the easy-to-use esumedics EEG and EMG systems. Our option of combining EEG and EMG in one system with a shared database was particularly interesting to many participants. Our COMBY-Cap complete EEG caps, which were also on display, received great interest, as they can be placed quickly and precisely, unlike individually glued or plugged electrodes.

The three-day training program was a diverse mix of the latest research findings and practical workshops. With our esumedics systems and our on-site colleagues, Carsten Klaus (Head of Aftersales & Service), Hannes Conrad (Sales and Service DE – West), and Denise Nestler (Inside Sales), we were able to support three practice-oriented training sessions. These included two courses by speaker Elfi Baumann (Aschaffenburg-Alzenau Hospital) on the topics of SEP of the upper and lower extremities, as well as a course by Frank Böhme (Allgäu Hospital Association gGmbH – Kempten Hospital) on “NCV of difficult nerves and special forms of neurography.”
Our esumedics EMG systems excelled in all applications with their high functionality and clarity. The speakers were able to vividly support their courses with practical examples. Elfi Baumann particularly highlighted the excellent signal quality in the trigeminal and dermatome SEP. The 70 participants in Frank Böhme’s seminar were also able to witness firsthand the ease of use and the meaningfulness of the esumedics® examination results in the large lecture hall.

In addition to our complete systems, accessories, and service requests, our compatibility advantage was one of the major focuses of the events. Many of our visitors with Neurowerk, Walter EEG, or Telemedi devices were grateful to have found a solution to their existing problems. Since our software can read data from many third-party providers, we can offer software upgrades for some of the brands mentioned above. With the software upgrade, we give our customers the opportunity to continue operating their intact, existing hardware for several years with our modern esumedics software and Windows 11 or newer operating systems at a low investment.
