A Three-Day Journey into Neurophysiology
From July 4 to 6, numerous physicians gathered in Berlin for the “Neurophysiology Weekend”. The training program offered a well-balanced combination of lectures, case studies, and hands-on sessions. Technical support was provided by Esumedics GmbH, which showcased several EMG systems and an experienced on-site team, impressively demonstrating how user-friendly medical technology can facilitate both diagnostics and continuing education.

From Theory to Practical Application
The event was organized by the Neurophysiological Training Academy Munich and the Neurology Practice at “Hackescher Markt” Berlin (Dr. Walter Raffauf). Its objective was to deepen participants’ knowledge of indications, evaluation, and the practical application of instrumental diagnostic techniques for the peripheral nervous system.
The program covered a broad range of topics including electroneurography, EMG, nerve ultrasound, rarely examined nerves, pathological patterns, and treatable polyneuropathies. Small-group workshops and video demonstrations complemented the theoretical content, allowing participants to directly follow and apply the techniques in a safe learning environment. Limiting the group to 25 participants also encouraged personal exchange with the lecturers and enabled in-depth discussions of complex topics.

Technology as a Reliable Foundation
Esumedics supported the practical sessions with three colleagues and two systems on site. The equipment impressed with precise results, stable performance, and intuitive operation, making every diagnostic step clearly traceable. Thanks to detailed video transmission directly from the device, participants were able to follow the lectures attentively while simultaneously benefiting from live demonstrations and illustrative case examples. The seamless transition from theoretical input to practical application created a particularly high level of learning success. The inclusion of typical clinical scenarios as well as examinations of rarely assessed nerves further enriched the program.

EMG Systems with Added Value for Clinical Practice
Esumedics EMG systems ensure efficient workflows and deliver reliable signals. They support physicians in conducting structured and precise examinations, making them especially well suited for use in training and professional development. In addition, their flexible configuration options allow seamless adaptation to different clinical settings and diagnostic needs. The compact design and robust performance make them a practical choice not only for hospitals but also for private practices with high patient throughput.
The Neurophysiology Weekend 2025 brought together solid theoretical expertise, hands-on training, and professional technical support in an outstanding way. With two intuitive EMG systems and an experienced team on site, Esumedics made a valuable contribution to the success of the event. The systems proved to be a reliable cornerstone for both advanced medical training and patient care—functional, user-friendly, and dependable.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Neurophysiological Training Academy Munich, the Neurology Practice at Hackescher Markt Berlin, and the dedicated team of lecturers. Their excellent organization and close collaboration were key to making the weekend a resounding success.
