Compact Knowledge of Peripheral Diagnostics with “EMG Labor” and esumedics

tagNews

In October, interested doctors and medical assistants benefit from a practice-oriented compact seminar from our renowned training partner Mrs. Angela Wagner. Esumedics GmbH has been a partner of the training courses in Wiesenbach near Heidelberg, Germany, for a long time. Our esumedics EEG and EMG systems make practical work easier on site during the numerous practice phases thanks to their intuitive usability.

Intensive Training Program in Small Groups

From October 17th to 19th, 2024, our training partner “EMG Labor” once again organized a 3-day NCV/EMG compact seminar in its own training center near Heidelberg. The courses with speaker Angela Wagner are highly popular and regularly attract doctors, technicians and medical assistants from all over Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Those who were able to get one of the coveted places were able to enjoy an intensive and varied training session in various neurography and electromyography techniques.

The training center in Wiesenbach is excellently equipped with six EMG devices. During the NCV/EMG compact course, the esumedics EMG system was in focus. Under the guidance of Mrs. Wagner, the participants were able to benefit from the efficient work and meaningful examination results of the esumedics EMG during training sessions in small groups. The software’s intuitive user interface makes it easier for users of all experience levels to perform various derivations and measurements quickly, safely and purposefully.

esumedics - From Blink Reflex to Single Motor Unit Potential Analysis
In addition to theoretical basics, many exercises on the esumedics EMG system made the program informative and varied.

From Blink Reflex to Single Motor Unit Potential Analysis

The first day of the event started on Thursday after a warm welcome from Ms Wagner with electroneurography of the upper and lower extremities (motor and sensory). The group then devoted itself to topics such as fractional nerve conduction velocity, plexus transfers, and repetitive stimulation in cases of neuromuscular transmission disorders. In addition to theoretical basics, Mrs. Wagner illustrated all the main points with many examples, deepened the participants’ practical experience during various exercises on the device and encouraged the exchange of experiences among those present in various discussion groups.

Friday was initially devoted to the various reflexes (H-Reflex, Blink Reflex, jaw opening reflex) and F-Wave before Mrs. Wagner started with an interesting introduction to electromyography. The rest of the day’s program included spontaneous activity, single potential analysis, interference patterns, characteristic muscles and pathological findings. At the end of the compact seminar on Saturday, tremor frequency analysis as well as various NCV and EMG examinations with specific questions were on the program.

I appreciate the individual support and reliable personal service from the Esumedics team. In the often tightly scheduled day-to-day work in neurology and neurosurgery, robust and reliable technology with precisely matching accessories is required. This is only possible if production and development take place in Europe. Made in Germany stands for accessible contacts, short distances and speed.

Thanks to the intuitive usability of the esumedics EMG and for the signal stability & quality, the participants were able to work safely and purposefully on the device independently.

35 years of professional training with Angela Wagner

Since 1989, Angela Wagner has been training doctors and employees in practices and clinics in all relevant electrophysiological examination techniques. In small groups of a maximum of 14 participants, Mrs. Wagner allows all attendees to focus entirely on the valuable training content. “EMG Labor” training courses take place both in the in-house training center and in Heidelberg, but can also be offered on-site or online throughout Germany if required. Training courses in English are also offered.

We would like to congratulate Mrs. Wagner and her team once again on their 35th anniversary in 2024 and look forward to our continued partnership.
