Intensive Course for Hands-On EEG Competence
In November 2025, our training partner Simone Hübscher once again hosted a hands-on EEG intensive course at her Berlin practice. Participants had the opportunity to deepen their skills directly on esumedics EEG systems and gain valuable feedback for everyday clinical practice. The workshops are held regularly once or twice a year, offering interested professionals the chance to participate again in 2026.

Performing EEG with Confidence
The EEG intensive training, held on November 14–15, 2025, was aimed at MTAs, MFA staff, medical assistants, and physicians seeking to expand or refresh their electroencephalography skills. Following a “learning by doing” approach, the program linked theoretical content directly with practical exercises.
Key focus areas included the correct placement of EEG caps according to the 10–20 system, performing recordings, applying provocation methods, and recognizing and correcting artifacts. Working in small groups enabled close, individualized guidance, allowing participants to practice techniques thoroughly, ask questions, and receive immediate feedback—an approach that made the course especially practical and engaging.

Hands-On Guidance and Personalized Feedback
The workshop provided numerous hands-on exercises under professional supervision. Our colleague Dr. Felix Töpfer supported the course on site for esumedics, assisting Simone Hübscher during practical exercises and being available for questions and guidance throughout. This close support and direct feedback helped participants consolidate their knowledge with the modern esumedics EEG systems. Particular attention was given to the intuitive operation of the esumedics devices, which received consistently positive feedback.
Participants also had the opportunity to clarify individual questions and discuss solutions to typical clinical challenges, building confidence for their future practical application.

Structured Theory for Practical Use
In addition to practical exercises, the course covered essential theoretical topics: physiological and pathological graphoelements, frequencies, amplitudes, provocation methods, and structured post-processing of EEG recordings.
By combining theory and practice, participants were able to apply their knowledge immediately, solve common challenges, and benefit from the straightforward handling of the esumedics systems.
We would like to thank Simone Hübscher for her outstanding organization and guidance during the workshop, as well as all participants for their great interest and positive feedback on our esumedics systems. Hands-on training like this helps medical professionals to deepen their EEG skills and use the equipment efficiently. Look forward to the upcoming sessions in 2026 and secure your place early for one of the highly sought-after courses in Berlin.
